About me:
~RESTRAINING HOLLYWOOD is Located in Minneapolis/St.Paul, Minnesota. If you're Sick of the Same old Sappy, Crappy, Big-Budget, Cliche Hollywood Films Then Look No Further! It all started in the fall of 03'...A simple idea made up by Braden Palmer & Brandon Van Vliet to make Indie Films & Music Videos. RESTRAINING HOLLYWOOD has made dozens of music videos & Four Films in the short span of operation. Their 1st film is a Campy-Grindhouse Horror/Comedy called "Up North" & that was released Halloween Night 04'. Their 2nd film is a Dark Comedy/Drama called "People Talk" Released Aug 25th 06'. These first two films got them some nice cult-status in the Twin Cities. RESTRAINING HOLLYWOOD released "Trust Me" in June on Friday the 13th 08'! "TrusT Me" is a Dark-Comedy/Drama/Thriller that tells the tale of a High-Powered, pretencious Lawyer thats gets busted for a crime he didn't commit so he get's sent to treatment. While in Treatment he realizes he was set up so he hires a bounty-hunter to find the man that tried to destroy his life. Then in Jan 09' RESTRAINING HOLLYWOOD shot a new feature film called "Hunting Buddies". "Hunting Buddies" is a Dramatic-Thriller about four lifelong friends that get together for their annual hunting trip. They all seem to be battling personal demons & tensions are high, but must band together when one of them disappears. "Hunting Buddies" will premier Thur Nov. 12th @ the Riverview Theater in Mpls. Blood Root Mother	Dec 1 2009 8:05 PM Hello!! If you're around on Thursday, December 10th, we are playing a show at Mario's Keller Bar. I don't know if you've been there, but it's a very cool place. It's a comfortable space, the room sounds great and they have a stellar beer selection. Also, we will be playing ALL NIGHT! We'll play some funky, bluesy, and soulful music. We'll project live video onto a 9 ft screen. We'll play some older material that hasn't been heard in awhile, as well as some brand new songs that've never been heard. All bets are off!! So me and some friends went to check out Dueling Pianos. Those guys are amazing - they can play just about any song that's been on the radio between 1950 and 2005. Speaking of music, I wanted to let you know about a show we have @ Station 4 on Friday, October 16th. We are debuting a project called Sonic Transformations. It is a series of audio-visual performance pieces. The first one is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". It features live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death. Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. The night will be full of creative, interesting, high-energy music, good drinks and good times.
