Swedish ebm pioneer Restricted Area has been going strong for over 15 years now.
The electronic bandwidth of RA's sound is enormous. From old-school EBM, combined with modern Electro influences to “classic” Synthpop and further to modern Futurepop. A non-compromising mixture of influences from DAF, And One and VNV Nation!
Peter Elm is in the process of finalizing material for a brand new Restricted Area release. The idea is to present a double album with cd 1 having the traditional RA mix of moods (with many surprises) and cd 2 having a heavily aggressive EBM theme. The exact date of release and which record company will release the new songs, hasn' t been decided at present.
The songs "Cercle" and "Steelbath" are a preview from this release.

A friend of mine put up this myspace-site for Restricted Area (tack Christian!) so I thought I'd finally get down a few lines to inform about the current "band" status.
I'm not a huge fan of internet and I have no intention of spending endless amounts of time on the net so I'll only pop in here once in a while to inform about "major" news.
Anyway, there WILL be new material coming out sometime in the near future (sorry, can't be more specific) and there are alot of practical reasons why there hasn't been anything released since "Fun and Fearless". The main reason is that all my gear has been stashed in a cupboard while I've been off to Asia and then spent time doing other things. I have, however, written quite a few new songs and I'm actually very eager to produce and record them and then getting them released. I have a very clear picture of the new soundscape and I've never had any intention of giving up music!
For people who are interested I hope your wait will be worth while!
Tack för adden min vän, hoppas vi hinner ses innan jag sticker iväg. Turn like the devil är makalöst bra, texten känner man ju tyvärr allt för väl igen hos sig själv, suck vilket hundliv man lever!
