Restriction of liberty was formed by a group of friends that grew up together and attended the same school classes. They enjoyed playing music and never made any intentions to make anything of it. But what was once a hobby suddenly turned into a serious ambitious band. The 5 musicians then started working hard to take it to a new level.
In 2008, Björn Friman who was one of the guitarists left the band, and though they were one guitarist short they were just as eager to continue and pursue their dream. The band later took a trip to Jönkopning where Joakim Bergquist (Intohimo) who produced and Ulf Blomberg (grace.will.fall) who engineered and mixed their very first demo. After the recording the band had their first Swedish tour. During this time they realised that having a second guitarist would make a stronger effect to their music. The band had one person in mind and asked him if he was interested in joining the band and before you knew it Edvin Davidsson became the second guitarist.
Restriction of Liberty is a fresh band with strong female screams/vocals and heavy distorted guitars as well as catchy melodies. They’re definitely not a band to be missed!
