Hard to say... so much has been an influence and incorporated, Resurrected 1:16 truly has become everything else and something new, in one messed up package.
"Brief History of Resurrected 1:16"
----- From the ashes of ever changing reality... And the demise of constantly crushed dreams... Amiss a faultering economy... Against the Global Powers that scheme... So let it be written, so let it be heard... Resurrected 1:16.
----- Founded by JD Widowmaker (aka: D. Calvert, Jr.), the concept of Resurrected 1:16 rose on January 16th, 2003, with a majority of the inner basis intertwined among other acts since the late 1980's. NJ politics, corporate policies, and other factors convinced JD to move to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2004. However, finding the right line up for Resurrected 1:16 was shortcoming. Although material was flowing, many deficiencies caused JD to move back to NJ and put Resurrected 1:16 on hold for a while.
----- JD contributed his talents to local NJ bands like AcesHigh, No Innocence, Horace Masters, Guilty, and One Less Problem but, the full emotion of Resurrected 1:16 could not penetrate the restrictions of these acts. Hope did emerge with the partnership of Hung Badseed (aka: Neal Patterson) though. This teeter-totter relationship with Badseed added a missing musical element that allowed Resurrected 1:16 to grow, nurture, and mature.
----- Adding to JD's classics of "Witchcraft Charm" and "Your Shadow," Badseed brought a Punk and Hardcore agression to the mix with songs like "I Hear The Cries" and "God Save Me." Badseed allowed the Resurrected 1:16 project to include the reflections of one's self discoveries and the dissection of political fields from every platform.
----- The latest CD, "The Memories Remain," takes on a fresh and yet timeless philosophy that JD lives and writes by: "EVERYTHING is an influence." The track "Black Widow" touches on the battle with addictions while headbanging to a Hip-Hop influenced percussion. "Light Of The Moon" returns to the instrumental phase of music, incorporating a thrash, alternative, and edge of mainstream mix to a track about staring at the night time moon. "The Meaning Of" displays an emotional outpoor felt when asking the questions of "why are we here," in a style similar to Type O Negative.
----- From ballad to face basher, the music of Resurrected 1:16 will always be inspiring and influential. So, rise from the ashes and become Resurrected.
