The soundtrack for the wedding party of anger & gloom. Traktor from Sweden, which are not only highly considered in circles of connoisseurs because of their extraordinary live qualities, perfect their grim chaos-core on their first full length, entitled Lights. The typical Traktor sound from the early days with indigestive breaks and dissonant guitar riffs in the vein of famous San Diego bands like Drive Like Jehu or Swing Kids is getting enobled with dark & calm passages. Although the album was mastered in the much sought-after Tonteknik-Studio in Umeå, the regulary comparisons to Refused or early JR Ewing are less present, then genre bulks like Lack or Breach. Lights is an album designed for a cheerless winter, post-hardcore between aggression & depression.
P.S.: Stay nervous for further GDR releases within fall 2k9! Upcomming happiness banned on tape by bands like Furnace [US], Hungry Lungs [GER] and Deers from Sacramento [US] will be available soon! Spread the word!

SUCKINIM BAENAIM / ACHZAVOTH SPLIT 7" Two
crazy Israeli bands is the only way to describe this record. Suckinim
Baenaim play insane, fast experimental punk. The only why to describe
it is by saying it's similar to Rolo Tomassi, HORSE the band, Holy
Molar etc - but they sound nothing like those bands. Achzavoth on the
other hand... I've heard nothing like them before - fast, heavy, satan
loving, fun.
DING DONG DEAD 'NIE
WIEDER MORGEN' 10" When a band is named after an
Orchid song you know they have the right influences already. Nine
tracks of intense punk/..screamo/skramz - whatever you want to call it.
All the lyrics are in German but they come with English explanations
which is cool.
