Retamar y Juan Carlos, nacieron en Ponce Puerto Rico. Después de tiempo de conocidos, deciden fusionar sus talentos dentro de la música urbana para el año 2000 bajo el nombre artístico de “Reta y Jan-k”, abreviaciones de sus nombres por los cuales siempre han sido reconocidos. Poco a poco fueron evolucionando dentro del género, y se dieron a conocer dentro de su pueblo natal, hasta llegar a ser reconocidos en la isla. Reta y Jan-k, fueron reclutados en varias ocasiones para formar parte de diferentes producciones discográficas, teles como “Buda’s Family 2”, (por mencionar alguna) en la cual interpretaron “A Galope”, la cual figuro entre las favoritas de la producción. Por cosas del destino la compañía rompió después de la desafortunada muerte de su productor. Luego, con vasta experiencia en el campo, deciden probar suerte con otras compañías. Siguieron sus presentaciones, entrevistas tanto en radio como en rebitas, hasta que su talento fue reconocido por “AR-D Entretaiment”, de quien hoy día forman parte. Y bajo la promoción artística de “Chichi” Cruz, han logrado llegar al tope de su carrera artística.
Aunque ya han sido escuchados através de la radio, tanto en “Reggaeton 94” Puerto Rico, como en “Power 96” New York. Y sus videos vistos por miles de personas através de la Internet y televisión local... Lo mejor esta por llegar!
