Bio
"During the middle bit I had the distinct sensation that I was listening to a cruise-liner-show-band while coming up strongly on LSD! I love it when a musician can combine a tuneful pop sensibility with genuine out-there quirkiness.".... "This is beguiling, surprising; cartoon-amimational, surreal; mindvista-shifting (I liked your correspondent's remarks about coming up on acid on a cruise ship - very authentic). You are an antishiny, natural-to-admire "filmic" composer. You are versatile in ways that transcend the more received, or banal, criteria for "versatility". You eccentr-iate your OWN voice. Besides a hangretrodog humility, there is febrile humour, imagination, ringmodulational "atonality" (esp. amidst a poppy diversion).".... "Oh yes, I really love this! It comes together perfectly. It reminds of the same feel (although a totally different musical style) of some of the wilco yankee hotel foxtrot stuff." .... "99% of all human endeavor is accomplished through prioritization more than inspiration. The entire science of management can basically be boiled down to prioritization. First things first, and second things not at all. If you can get through the first priority, then the second priority will become the first, and so on, until the only things left are fairly small." (yep) ...."If I could explain and demonstrate the value of my own works, that from my point of view at least would prove that they were constructed entirely from elements that were obvious, superficial and tangible..." Ax,
we can live with your ignorance. The song is much about drinking. Leading to a point where understanding is fading, finally missing at all.
Many thanks for taking your time and your kind words!
