About me:

Dave started in radio at age 12. He learned the ropes from the "Radio Greats" in his hometown of Glasgow, Kentucky (Mickey Collins, Robert Cain a.k.a. Max Murphy, John McGavin, Jim Kirk a.k.a. Scotty Matthews, and his personal Yoda "Dr." Rick Faulkner) He eventually went into programming and landed a gig in Nashville. It was there that he joined the legendary WLAC/Nashville. He later joined 98 WSIX/Nashville.

In late 1997 Dave conceived the name, the idea, and concept of Retro Rewind. He launched the show nationwide in February 1998. Dave wrote and executive produced every installment of the syndicated show. In 1998, Dave took a leave of absence to serve as the manager of the platinum selling band the Outfield. Dave took over hosting duties of Retro Rewind in 1999. Dave's also contributed assistance to VH-1 for many of their popular shows, "Where Are They Now?” "Behind The Music", "Before They Were Rock Stars", and "The List". Most recently Dave help secure talent for NBC's "Hit Me Baby One More Time".

Dave's hobbies include following the NFL (San Diego Chargers), video games, and songwriting. He has written over 400 songs. Some songs are a collaboration with his best friend, actor Scott Grimes. ("ER" Thursday's on NBC, "American Dad" Sunday's on FOX, "Band Of Brothers", "Party Of Five").

In 2005 Dave scored a top 20 AC hit on the Billboard and Radio & Records chart, as co-writer of "Sunset Blvd", performed by Scott Grimes. Harris co-wrote several of the songs on Grimes' latest CD, "Livin on the Run".
