Retrospree are a hard rocking, well up for it, eccentricly mental, independent three-piece alternative rock band based in Dublin. The band formed in late 2005 and consists of members, Paul Hogan, Stephen Farrell and Trevor King. Retrospree create an original and diverse sound by combining many different genres such as rock, funk and electronic. Along with catchy rocking guitar riffs, pounding bass lines and hard hitting drum beats, Retrospree also use added synths and other effects in order to create a massive, yet extremely sturdy wall of sound, a great accomplishment for a band with just three members! This is all completely evident at their live shows, which have to be witnessed first hand!
Retrospree released they're debut EP last September. Its entitled Sparks from the Mind and it features five of their impulsive, automatically destructive and exhilarating tracks! Sparks from the Mind recieved some nice reviews as well as plenty of airplay!
Everyone deserves a piece of this music because a band as mind blowing and unique as Retrospree only come around every few years so catch them while their still on your doorstep!
