I have an affinity for: aquatic mammals, cats of all sizes, animals in general, DJing, radio DJing, ye olde 92.7 WLIR/WDRE (my show is but a sad attempt to recapture its glory), Indie 103.1 (Passport Approved, Big Sonic Heaven, Jonesy's Jukebox, Mr. Shovel's Check One Two, Harmony In My Head), KJHK, KCUR, KRBZ, WFNX, WWCD, movies of various genres (horror films rank high, as do comedy and sci-fi), music of various artists/genres (see below for what tends to air on my radio show), crafts, beads, beading, baking, working with my hands (anything creative), making an ass out of myself at inopportune times (I excell at this), briticisms, noses, accents, foreign vernacular, nostalgia for the 80s, pop culture, pop art, op art, surrealism, photo-realism, chocolate chip cookies from scratch, chocolate, fragranced water (I *heart* Glaceau Vitamin Water, but prefer its unsweetened cousin from the old days), spicy food, talking about food, the food network, comedy central, sci-fi channel, etc. and etc. and etc. You cannot pin me down. I'm a chameleon, baby!
Music
Radio Show/DJ Stuff:
Human League, Heaven 17, David Bowie, Kraftwerk, Devo, Bauhaus / Peter Murphy / Love 'n' Rockets, Klark Kent / The Police, Anything Box, Duran Duran, John Taylor (of Duran Duran), Julian Cope / Teardrop Explodes, Tears For Fears, Bryan Ferry / Roxy Music, Psychedelic Furs, Sex Pistols / Public Image Ltd, Soft Cell / Marc Almond, Real Life, My Robot Friend, The Church / Isidore, Gene Loves Jezebel, Shonen Knife, Minor Threat, XTC, Wire, Magazine / Barry Adamson, Japan / David Sylvian, Buzzcocks, Adam & The Ants / Adam Ant, Bjork / The Sugarcubes, The Dandy Warhols, Gary Numan / Tubeway Army, ABC, Nina Hagen, Mount Sims, Woven, Fischerspooner, Rasputina, VHS or Beta, Moving Units, Cut Copy, Arcade Fire, Vedera, Longwave, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Pop Will Eat Itself, Renegade Soundwave, My Life w/ The Thrill Kill Kult, The Young Gods, The Clash, Big Audio Dynamite, The Dresden Dolls, Depeche Mode, New Order / Joy Division, Annie Lennox, The Eurythmics, KaitO UK, INXS, Faux Fox, The Countdown, Red Flag, Three Alarm Fire, Dot-Allison, PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth, Morrissey, The Smiths, The Devils, The Cure, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Dead Can Dance, StereoLab, Piney Gir, My Robot Friend, Luna / Britta Phillips & Dean Wareham, Cibo Matto, Arcadia, Nitzer Ebb, Hard-Fi, Editors, U2, The Capes, Nine Inch Nails, The Faint, Weird Al Yankovic, Ministry (With Sympathy), etc.
Other Music I Dig (but don't play on my show):
The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Diana Krall, Ministry (Mind is a Terrible Thing To Taste, Land of Rape & Honey), Nirvana, Beck, Beth Orton, Foo Fighters (classic Rock & Roll [NOT to be confused with "Classic Rock"], Jazz Vocal), etc.
My Recent Tracks on Last.fm My Quilt @ Last.fm
..
Movies
Yes.
Especially Sci-Fi, Action/Adventure, Comedy (even Sci-Fi-action-adventu-comedies... Star Wars, anyone?), Horror, Black Comedy, British Comedy, old spy films (007), art-house films, John Hughes, George Lucas (for a while I refused to accept his calls for refusing to put the original theatrical releases of the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD, but he's since heeded the outcry. Woohoo!), Stephen Spielberg, David Lynch (still trying to wrap my head around "Mulholland Drive"), Clive Barker, Ridley Scott, etc.
I like 'em scary, gross, cheesy, geeky, intelligent and funny. Now is that too much to ask?
Television
I don't watch much television unless certain shows or movies are on. I'm a sucker for various types of movies, and can waste a helluva lot of time watching them.
Heroes
Cookie Monster, creative people, fun people who find pleasure in the simple as well as the complex things in life. There are a lot of musicians that I follow and admire (see above list), but only a handful qualify for "Hero" status. One in particular is very worthy of the title, but would never accept the crown, and that's part of why I admire him.

Man, I'm frustrated I can't be around for what you're doing at Liverpool now. But over in the Springs I'm looking to start a Goth / Deathrock club night of my own; no techno, no modern industrial, no EBM. Now there's a novel idea!?
And give the new song a listen if you hadn't already, let me know what you think. I'd like to get an EP out to your mailbox within the next month.
Hiya! Thanks for adding me! I use myspace for contacting artists and keeping in the retro loop. Let me know if anything '80s related is happening in KC. Cheers and blessings, Jeremy PS: I'm on Facebook also. Add me!
