The Retrotopia party was sponsored by Intellivision Productions, Inc., which was also a sponsor and exhibitor at the Classic Gaming Expo that weekend, July 28 & 29, in Las Vegas.
The party was co-sponsored by Techno Source USA, distributor of the Intellivision plug-and-play units. The party featured an Astrosmash competition on the new Intellivision 2nd Edition plug-and-play, projected on a big screen.
The venue for the party was provided by the Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame, with over 120 pinball machines and over 25 classic video arcade machines, all set on free play for the night.
A DJ spun 1980s tunes while the bar served up the party's signature drink: The Astromash!
