Sao Paulo based Brazilian RETTURN was formed mid-nineties by Baffo Neto, (Guitarist). No long after its birth, Retturn released their first album homonymous; witch brought them to Europe where they based their activities. Within a few underground battles & lessons plus a record deal later, they released STRAIN, their second album, first album to be released in Europe through a Dutch Label. After a few months on the road, an unfortunate incident took singer Michel Gambini back to Brazil for treatment of a spine problem, temporarily ceasing the bands activities bringing it to a brief hiatus. Upon his return to Europe, the band went back to the road doing shows, and in addition decides to write new material. Musical differences caused the band to decide never use this material that was considered weak by its own members and soon Michel Gambini and Baffo Neto decided to write together an album that captured the essence of what was Retturn all about, and so they did. "Sounds of an Empty Gun" is the name given to this album that calls for the 'brutal elegance' of his compositions; a strong adrenaline delivering album with simple song structure, energetic, impeccable rhythmical work and with lyrics about everything from betrayal, abuse of power, corruption and misconduct in a personal level. With this album the band is ready to once again move forward taking their music, energy and attitude to intercontinental scales!

A banda paulista RETTURN foi formada no fim dos anos noventa por Baffo Neto (guitarrista). Não muito tempo depois de seu nascimento, a banda lançou seu primeiro álbum Homônimo, que os levou para a Europa, onde basearam suas atividades. Após algum tempo de batalha no underground e a conquista de um contrato de com um selo Holandês, a banda estava pronta para gravar STRAIN, o seu segundo álbum, por um selo holandês. Durante esta turnê, um infeliz acidente levou o vocalista Michel Gambini de volta ao Brasil para tratamento, cessando temporariamente as atividades da banda, trazendo-a para um breve hiato. Com sua volta, a banda fez alguns shows e começou a escrever material novo que jamais seria lançado. Logo em seguida Michel Gambini e Baffo Neto decidem escreverem juntos um álbum que captasse a essência do que de fato era o Retturn, do que se tratava aquilo tudo; e assim o fizeram. "Sounds of an Empty Gun" é o nome dado a este álbum que prima pela ‘brutal elegância’ de suas composições. Um disco forte, com estruturas musicais simples, energético, carregado com adrenalina, de trabalho rítmico impecável e letras dissertatívas abordando sobre tudo situações de abuso de poder, corrupção e misconduta a nível pessoal. Com este álbum o grupo está pronto para avançar mais uma vez e levantar-se fortemente em seu nicho levando, Levando sua atitude a escalas intercontinentais.
