With the Oklahoma Death Metal scene slowly fading to the Pop Punk and Hardcore scenes, Returned in Ruins was formed to give the people a swift kick in the genitals and bring Death Metal back to where it needs to be.
Returned in Ruins was started in mid 2006 by four kids looking to start something big....they called it Under The Grave....Months went by untill in late 2006 when Brauk, Mike, and Logan kicked out the original drummer, Eric. Now, they needed a bassist and now a new drummer. Thats when Brauk and met up with Chandler Sowinski and Tyler (Lunchbox). Chandler and Lunchbox made it into the band by playing bass and drums respectivly. Shortly after a couple of shows they changed the name to Returned in Ruins. Then, another line up change. Lunchbox left the band and the guys decided to take a gamble, the decision was made to move Logan over to drums and Chandler to guitar.
That risky gamble worked for a little less then a year untill Logan was relieved of the drum position. 3 months prior to Logan's departure the guys added Dave Leberman as a second vocalist. But, with no drummer it seemed like the group had come to the end, with no drummer there would be no band. All of that luckily changed in late 2007 when Eric Collard was brought back in to take up the drums for Returned in Ruins once again. Lastly, in July 2008 Grant Hart jumped on board to fill the much needed spot of bass.
Now finally, the guys of RIR have a full solid line up, and once again ready to give the people the good ol' Death Metal sound they were missing for all this time.
I just wanted to say thanks to you guys for playing at my bday party! I wanted nothing more! Everyone commented on how great you guys were! And even my parents said you guys played really good! Thank you so much! I love you guys!

Nice show Sunday guys, fuckin owned all the local bands dude. Who's the little dude from Icaria? He's fuckin tiny, to be completely honest I thought it was a girl at first. hahaha But anyway, sorry I haven't gotten a new, colored in logo yet, i've been a bit pre-occupied as of late, but i'll try to get one up within the next week for sure.

The Returned part was supposed to be more like the Born of Osiris style, because someone said to incorporate a bit of that in a bit, then the Ruins is supposed to look like Ruins kinda, I think it'll make that really stand out, but do you want me to go ahead and do the whole thing like that? Cuz I mean it's tight how it is, but it's your guys' band, just look at it one more time juuust to make sure hahaha.
Sooo I drew up a logo for you dudes, hope you dig it, but I haven't uploaded or anything, but when I do i'll let you know.
