Perhaps one of the most energetic young DJs on the Manchester clubbing circuit at the moment, 22 year old Woody has been djing since the age of 16. During the past 6 years, he has played at venues across the UK and in Europe; his deep, soulful, funky sets deserving dancefloor attention.
A classically trained musician, Woody took in early influences from Carl Cox, Danny Howells and Erick Morillo but it was the meeting of Adam B, Tom Golden and Nathan Landry, that accelerated his djing career.
Collectively known as The Homegrown DJs, the quartet concentrated on west coast US influences which soon became a trademark sound.
DJing across the UK and Europe, they created a solid fanbase. Known for playing quality House music, Homegrown parties became legendary, with the added fun of mischievous antics and cheeky personalities giving a refreshing down to earth approach.
Their website www.homegrown-music.com, also generated a huge following, showcasing monthly mixes from the boys and guest mixes from the likes of Mylo, Tom Stephan, Paul Woolford, Harold Heath, Natural Rhythm, Cosmic Groove Transmission, Jazzanova, Will Saul, Justin Martin, Olivier Desmet, The Sound Republic & many more. The boys added a merchandise store where you can buy t-shirts, hoody, sticker and even thongs!
After a year break, it was time for a fresh start. After years of 'meaning to get round to it' Woody decided to start producing tracks. He decided to create a new pseudonym to stand out from the crowd...and with that Brooklyn Nights was born. The idea to keep it simple, keep it effective. The sound deeper, techier and more soulful.
Whether it be warming up the bar with deep, warm vibes or peaktime madness, you'll be guaranteed top quality music all the way.
