I've played in so many type's of band's and venues, I don't know where to start. I started on the drums at 5 years old and joined my first band at 11, the same year that I started guitar lessons. That band played bars in Iowa and Nebraska, back when a member of the band that was over 18 could take responsibility for me so I wouldn't get into trouble..........yeah right!
I was way too much of a show off to stay on the drums and wanted to switch to lead guitar, so I did at 15 and haven't looked back. At 17 I got my first road gig and left high school in my senior year. I don't recommend that to any young picker, but that's what I did. We toured all over the midwest and eventually the rest of the U.S and Canada too. This led to other groups and many, many miles of travel. From the smallest hole in the wall to the Grand Ole Opry, I've pretty much played most of them. The road work lasted off and on..............mainly on, for 12 years and I played some great gigs and some unforgetable venues. I've worked with or did shows with .......John Conlee, Jolee Edwards, Moe Bandy. Joe Stampley, Grayghost, Johnny U, Buck Trent, Tiny Tim, Jimmy C. Newman, Johnny Cash, Mulberry Lane, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Brent, Gail Davies, David Frizzell, Mike Walker and many others. I've done alot of studio work thru the years including master sessions, jingle and demo work. After all those years on the road living out of a suitcase I finally got married and got a so called "real" job.
I still play out and do studio gigs every once in a while to keep my chops up.
I'm currently working with "Sweetwater" out of Kearney, NE playing around the area, but if the need arises where you may need an old Tele picker and I have the night off..............give me a shout. Twang On
