About Reuben’s Thread feat. Rachael Bell
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "...an excellent recording. For those who complain about the sameness of music today, buying Colour Me Blue would serve as a great opportunity to move out of the musical comfort zone. Highly recommended."
(Soultracks.com)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "It's divine. The vocals are rich and smooth, like sucking up melted Galaxy chocolate through a straw made of gold. In effect, we're talking about a real soul find..."
(Tasty Fanzine)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "'Colour Me Blue' is a smooth, finely crafted pop album - pick any superlative you like, they'll likely suit this album. My favourite is magical and hypnotic..."
(Glasswerk.co.uk)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "...a wonderful piece of dreamy, laid-back pop. Reuben's Thread provides the slow-paced, atmospheric groove, while RachaelRachael adds her deep and soulful vocals to the mix - she keeps it smooth and subtle, letting her voice woo us with gentle skill. Very nice."
(Mish Mash Music Reviews)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "With a dreamy magic, a dark outlook and, no doubt, the odd tear-stained lace hankie, 'Colour Me Blue' evokes the windswept vistas of The Cocteau Twins, All About Eve and Mazzy Star. Rachael offsets the icy fragility with an earthy passion that's part Nina Simone, part Joni Mitchell - nine tracks of bleak, beautiful bigness..."
(Overplay)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The music flows, with guitar arpeggios lilting you to sleep, soothing and atmospheric, layers and textures of music with accomplished arrangements and musicianship..."
(Subba-Cultcha)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[S27-027] V.A - Sectioned

To celebrate our first 27 releases on Section 27 Netlabel, we proudly present to you "Sectioned", a free compilation of 27 tracks, amounting to 2 hours across two discs of twisted electronic beats, discordant melodies, haunting passages, broken ambience, bending senses of time and space, microscopic glitches, pounding bass frequencies, sounds between sounds, the human voice and the audible sensation of music dissolving in acid. This is the sound of your mind's eye. This is the sound of the Sectioned... Strap yourself in and enjoy the experience.

Also features a 75 minute bonus disc "Sectioned : Nonimxs", including 9 remixes of selected Section 27 artists by Nonima and 2 original tracks created by Silent Snow and Nina Kardec using existing Nonima tracks.
