  • Bio

Too long has indie rock 'gazed at its shoes', desperate not to appear to be trying too hard. Forget that. Rev78 have a massive sound – this is widescreen, expansive, heartfelt and follows in the tradition of Great British Rock music... ..They have a sensitive side too - a lightness of touch and a gift for dynamics that give them a scope quite simply beyond the reach of many of their contemporaries. Spectral guitars weave a sonic web over a rock solid rhythm section, which all supports the extraordinary vocal performances of Mr Teddy Quick. Teddy doesn't so much wear his heart on his sleeve, but lays his soul bare on the rocks for you all to see. His voice is supremely rich, immensely powerful and utterly dynamic, with the kind of chasm-spanning range which has seem him already drawn with various stellar rock stalwarts including Morrisey, Ian Curtis, even Matt Bellamy. Rev78's eagerly anticipated forthcoming debut album "Boy In The Blitz", scheduled for release in April next year is a giant leap for the band. With the masterful production of producer "Junk Scientist" aka Russ Keffert and the fabulous "Mixing Maestro" Catherine Marks (who's recent portfolio includes the likes of Interpol, Foals, PJ Harvey, Placebo and White Lies to name but a few) can only add to the magic of these "dark pop comets" and propell the boys into mainstream public consciousness... ...."Equal parts contemplative and tuneful, while demonstrating a notable knack for a catchy hook, 'Could Have Been a Dancer,' the second single from London based indie troubadours Rev78 streams seductively from the stereo, replete with heart-rending lyrics, delicately chiming guitars and solid rhythms. Evoking a melancholic atmosphere of broken dreams and doomed love, the track is likely to gain favourable comparisons to many of their eminent forebears, not least to the moving vocal delivery of Ian Curtis and understated drive of Interpol. It displays heaps of promise, an impressive professionalism, and an enigmatic musical presence that belies their status as relative newcomers... Keep an eye on this lot.".... ....-Rock Pulse Magazine.
