I build things with my hands. I think critically. I am an artist. I am a hustler. I am self-employed. I am also salaried. I freelance. I do not cook, but I eat well. I enjoy reading books on philosophy, sociology, politics and culture. I love music. I'm not a people person, but I am a person person. I prefer poetry when it's written. I seek inspiration and find it in many things.
I began singing at Highway Church of Christ in Philadelphia, PA, and received vocal and piano training at Settlement Music School in Camden, NJ. As a kid, I wanted to be an architect. By age 16 I had recorded my first album using Acid Music. It was awesome, but unfortunately there's probably only three people in the world, including myself, who have ever heard it!
Since 2005 I've collaborated with producers Alex Elena and Imani Coppola, and jazz musicians, Lonnie Plaxico and Marvin Sewell. Most of the songs you hear were recorded with Imani and Alex in a little studio beneath the M1-5 Bar in Chinatown, NY. I currently write a monthly music blog for The Star-Ledger (read my Sound Exchange Blog here), and am founder of Rebel City Music (rebelcitymusic.com).

Lickaotta's it's time to start planning for Lickalotta Fest 09' to be held June 19, 20, 21st .
