Founded in 1999, Rève du faun is a folk rock band featuring Katrina Sheldon on vocals, Anita Kelling on flute and vocals, Jay Koelsch on 6 and 12 string guitars, and Jac Martins on Bass. Coming from diverse backgrounds, their repertoire contains popular tunes from the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Rève du Faun’s signature sound of dual female harmonies are influenced by traditional Celtic music, classic Rock and Roll, and the Folk movement of the 1950’s and 60’s. Rève du Faun makes their home in the Twin Cities and can often be seen playing at Irish pubs. They perform annually at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, and in 2004 they won the title of “Best Musical Act”.
The new CD will be brilliant - BUT - I think you should fly me out to LA to mix it, though.
Then there are the *remixes* and I'd like to go to Jakarta and work with the local musicians there for that.
Looking forward to playing with you at my 20th anniversary of doing CON, (It's not the same CON but wtf) and thanks for giving me a reason to be there two more evenings than usual!
Thanks for adding me! I do enjoy your shows out at MNRF. I will never forget the performance at the Mead booth, Labor Day weekend 2006, in the middle of the monsoon. The band, me and the hubby, BIL, and about 5 other friends, huddling under whatever we could find, singing Sloop John B and The Ballad of Jayne. Good times...
Hi kids. Interesting read, life on the road. I miss it, but only just.
The remix of "Nattamun" is taking longer than I expected... Figuring out the Bulgarian Women's Choir harmony parts on the sampler has been tricky, to say the least.
I hope you are well, and I still want the dinner you promised uhhhhh like 5 months ago, mmmmmnkay?
