Sounds Like
Flesh moving, and soul changing! It sounds like a Human Being. Inside me I want to change the world, and let Yahweh use me. But my flesh likes drinking and looking at females asses when they walking down the street. I'm still searching, it's all in my music. When I find more I'll do a song.
rev·e·la·tion: Information revealed, a surprising thing, a disclosure, a demonstration of
Divine will
Encarta Dictionary (North America)
LastDayz Revelation is a truly unique emcee who embodies the definitions above. As an artist, he approaches the mic with the passion of Tupac, and combines it with the conscience of Peter Tosh and Chuck D. Overall he is a perfect fusion of the spiritual and physical- that is- the human existence. Fans note Revelation is a not just the disclosure of revealed information, but he is truly a demonstration of a divine will!
Growing up in Chicago's Englewood community, basketball was his first love. To Revelation, music and basketball have a platform to challenge issues and to spread knowledge. By being an artist, the platform is easier to display, says Revelation. He learned by battling friends that he had a gift for rapping. With poetic word play, and an eyebrow raising flow, Revelation quickly gained fans amongst his peers and naysayers. Lines like "If ignorance is bliss, than knowledge is stress/So I pledge a life of heartache to the death" prove Revelation to be an urban poet laureate and music master of our time.
Revelation dug deep into his spirit to find his own style and ultimately himself. He reveals the results of this soul searching through his music. Trying not to be blinded by "His Story"(his life growing up in one of Chicago’s most dangerous neighborhoods), Revelation searches through history to find and reveal the truth, hence the name Revelation. The gifted artist wants his music to make listeners think about issues, create awareness and force them to study. He is currently working on his solo album (untitled, to be released in 2009 on CEI) and a joint venture with label mate Ransom (project entitled R&R).
On the business side, Revelation is the President of Chicago’s hottest underground independent label Classic Edition International. His goals for the label are to put out pure music and for each genre of music represented on the label to be classic, timeless pieces of music.
When asked who he is in the fickle music industry, LastDayz Revelation replies “I’m not a rapper, I make music.”
