Formed in late 2004 and born of a desire to grow and experiment, ReVeL has stormed the Oklahoma music scene with their refreshing blend of musical tastes. The songs are a well crafted mixture of danceable, yet indulgent pop/rock (`a la No Doubt or Nikka Costa) to a groove based funk/rock, with a hint of jazz (think Maroon 5 meets Chili Peppers).
Co-Founder and lead vocalist Carrie Webber (formerly of Hurricane Jane) evokes a well of emotions, from the playful elegance of a Gwen Steffani to the power and conviction of an Alanis Morissette. Add to that a solid rhythm section (Mike Alexander, Drums & Afshean Talasaz, Bass) with strong jazz, fusion roots and guitarists (Frank Arnold & Nathan Bagheri) with their rock ties, ReVeL has stumbled upon its own identity, that defies conformity and transcends genres.
ReVeL continues to forge ahead an effort to expand their ever growing fan base throughout the Midwest, supporting their recently self-released debut album, “forever and six conversations....”
