If Deftones raped Nirvana and Nirvana became pregnant and gave birth to a bastard child; That bastard child would be Revival. In close, that's the beginning of ELMO PUNK.
Revival was formed by Anthony Theodorakos and "Jesus" Jon Renner in the spring of 2005 while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. They blended their influences of Grunge, 90's Rock and Metal to create a fresh sound. They have played shows in the surrounding towns of Boston including Framingham, Ashland, Worcester, and Southbridge. Revival has also played shows outside the Boston area in places like New York, NY, Providence, RI, Henniker, NH, Wallingford and Danielson, CT. Their sound and energy from their stage shows amazed audiences whenever and wherever they played. In mid-2006 they began recording and self-released the demo CD "Your Mom." After a few line-up changes during the summer of 2006, members Eddie Owen and Jersey Dan Haase joined Revival. Now with all the pieces in place, Revival is ready for anything: motivated to play anytime, anywhere to deliver their blend of Hard Rock / Post-Grunge music to the masses! I'm Nick J.Townsend of WEAK13, also an underground music journalist, columnist and radio show presenter. For the last 6 months bands and crowds are flocking to a place called Stourbridge in England. Venues there are opening doors to bands. Music engineers, promoters, small labels, Bands and music fans are going to Stourbridge. One of the next big nights there has LAST UNDER THE SUN, THE ROCKET DOLLS, MASTER WARBEAST & WPAPPED IN PLASTIC all playing at BASE STUDIOS on FRIDAY AUGUST 28TH. The venue can be found on www.basestudios1.co.uk I'll be there offering radioplay to bands that need it.
The radio show can be heard here http://www.basementsound.co.uk/radio/BSRadio.php I plug bands from Brazil, Portugal, Sweden, USA, Australia, UK. Get on the show and contact producer 'Murph' on team@basementsound.co.uk
I grew up with some of the best music in the world and 15 years later only now am I starting to hear original bands make good music again. The venues are now becoming full again. This may never happen again for another 15 years. Now is the time. People will decide what music will be popular in the S'bridge scene. Seattle had grunge. Which genre will get big first?
