We like DIY, building community, feminism, skateboarding/riding bikes, rebellion of the self, living our lives our fuckin' way, smashing divisions between human beings, giving the neccessities of life to all creatures free of coersion or cost, becoming better human beings, music, weird times, sunny days, shenanigans, and fresh vegetables. Chris had wanted a band since he first heard Minor Threat. He kept searching for the right musicians, but things would fall through before anything would really come of practices. He continued going to local shows, enjoying the small explosions of the punk scene as bands came and went. A fan of the short lived but powerful A Parting Shot, he came in contact with their guitarist, Jared, at a show some time after A Parting Shot disbanded. They decided to work together. Chris brought his friend Grant into the fold, and got his old friend and talented drummer Tony to commit to a band.
And so behold, The Revocateurs
After almost 6 months of gigging and building a fan base in their home town of Eureka and her sister city Arcata, The Revocateurs competed in the local Battle of the Rock Bands, taking 3rd place, and thus cementing their position as one of the up and coming bands here in Humboldt.
Now that The Revocateurs have recorded their 4 song Eureka EP, and Tony decided to take a couple months vacation to Mexico, we are now on a short hiatus. Look for us to return in April or May.
