I'm a Pan-Afrikanist... determined to free my mind and the minds of every Afrikan I encounter from the mental chains that bond us. We MUST get back to greatness. We MUST reclaim our identity.
I used to be a lost soul: only wanting material things and lusting after money and women (I still like women -don't get me wrong. LOL!). I recently learned that all these things are a distraction from our destiny.
One must wonder WHY we, as a people, (Afrikans all over the world) are still here on Earth despite all that we have faced over thousands of years and hardships we still continue to endure. Why haven't we been wiped off of the face of the Earth yet? They wiped out the Native Americans but WE are still here. I don't think it's a coincidence that we are still here. We have a purpose and that purpose is GREATNESS.
We must UNlearn the Eurocentric garbage we have been forcefed since birth (including but not limited to Christianity) and begin thinking in terms of Afrikan nationhood. We can not achieve greatness with Eurocentric thinking and ideals. If we continue to be "spiritual slaves" we will eventually be wiped out. We can not continue to follow a people who still do not know where they are going. Don't just take my word for it though. Sankofa: We MUST look back in order to move forward. In other words: Study OUR history and you will then know what we still must do and what we still must be.
