About Becky Lynn Street
A cum laude graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Street completed her formal education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recording Industry Management, a Music Business concentration and Public Relations minor. A former PR and Music Industry student of James Madison University in her home state of Virginia, Street developed essential PR and managerial skills while serving as the PR Director for the University Program Board at JMU. She implemented several campus events and coordinated artists from various musical genres including country, rock and urban. After a short time at JMU, Street's fortitude relocated her to Tennessee to continue her education at MTSU where she had greater access to the tools of success. The proximity to Nashville provided her the outlet to develop relationships with those in the industry sphere.
In 2006, Street joined a local PR firm as an executive assistant and rapidly evolved into the publicist role, overseeing the day-to-day publicity and serving as the medium between the artist and both regional and national media for tour support and career promotion of several active recording artists including Darryl Worley and Bryan White. She also represented country supergroup Lonestar and facilitated the launch of the "new" Lonestar, in addition to handling musical and political relations for Sammy Kershaw. Street exited the company in 2007 to develop her own multi-service public relations and personal imaging company, Revolution Publicity & Marketing. For her first project, Street developed and implemented a traveling campaign on Lonestar's Christmas tour with AdoptAPlatoon to provide goods to America's deployed military personnel during the holiday season. Operation: My Christmas List left more than 25 deployed platoons satisfied during the 2007-2008 holidays.
Street has also served in the radio promotions department at Universal Music Group/ MCA/ Mercury; as a CMA Music Festival sales representative, and assisted in tour promotion for Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, and George Strait at Varnell Enterprises in Nashville.
