    BOOK REVOLVA'S FANTABULOUS HOOP ACT:
    revolvahoopdance.com
    revolvahoopdance(at)gmail(dot)com

Revolva first hit the stage at age five, as a "dancing poodle" in a Detroit-area ballet class. After years of dancing, crafting fiction, writing/performing in plays and collaborating with other artists on multi-media projects, hoops whirled her way in 2002. And suddenly, this writer-by-day transformed into a sequin-clad hoop artist, causing jaws to drop across the globe, from her former home in the Midwest ... to her current home on the West Coast ... and to Germany, South Korea and beyond.

Like Clark Kent, "Ms. Jones" will stop scribbling in order to save the world (from boring acts). But beware because the story often lingers, even after her transformation into super hooper Revolva. James Bond, the lady from Flashdance, a 1980s breakdancer: she does it ALL! And her unique style of "character hooping" is infused with mind-boggling tricks, awe-inspiring flexibility and a whole lotta' grace and rhythm.

Want to "revolutionize" your lineup? You know who to call. Revolva's arsenal of skills includes: highly professional theme routines (requests accepted), general freestyling to DJs/live music, roaming performance, fire hooping, LED hooping, teaching fun workshops and standing on her head while hooping on her toes. Revolva has performed hoopdance in three countries, earned one and a half masters degrees in English/Creative Writing, and made it her life's mission to prove that story-telling and the movement arts are a truly dynamic duo.

* FYI ~ I love getting to know interesting people, but I don't automatically accept all friend requests. If you fit into any of the following categories, I probably won't connect with you: private profiles (can't see who you are), profiles where some lonely dude is obviously just collecting women for his top friends, bands who indiscriminately send invites to everyone on the planet, profiles that contain something that makes me want to give up on humanity entirely and go crawl into the ocean (i.e. a song called "Smack Dem Hos Up"). Thanks!

* I'd appreciate it if you'd post flyers in yourspace (or in a bulletin), not in myspace.

So, it figures as soon as we wrap my hoop in red, a video is posted on "youtube" with a couple of guys with red isolation hoops.... You've seen it I'm sure.. Oh well.
Anyways, I've been practicing and making some amateur video's of my own on my phone. I filmed Christina hooping with her LED hoop, turned out really cool. Just need to figure out how to get it off my phone and on to a computer.

All I'm saying is that showering before bed, and that's your shower for the day, is icky. I mean, people can take one whenever they want (I took two today, one in the morning and one after the gym), as long as the "daily shower" is in the morning before you go out. Basically, washing the sleep-stank off is the idea here.

WE MUST HAVE ORDER! HE WHO BREAKS THE LAW GOES BACK TO THE HOUSE OF PAIN!
  • Jan 21 2009 8:15 PM

Ugh! Night showers! As long as you took one this morning I think you're okay - otherwise, you have been officially placed in the pariah caste.

And yeah, Pinball Pete's was a pretty significant part of my weekly routine back in East Lansing (there's one in Ann Arbor too...maybe more). I've never mentioned this to the guys at the PBHoF, but i will next time I go.
    I'm thinking I'm overdue for a visit!

Thinking of you and hope the Salon was off the hook...I'm sure you made it so! Was wishing I could be there. Looking forward to the next remote therapy session...otherwise known as a Revolva/Spiral phone convo.
    Mad love and big props!
