The Resident DJs
The Frequency Mutineers [The FM] focus on the Industrial, Gothic, and Electro genres for their sets at Rewired Wednesdays. They use underground music and video to bring people together. The guests, however, ultimately determine most of the tracks played at Uptown Bar. So please give The FM your requests throughout the night. Rewired DJs work in 30-minute shifts so they can easily obtain and secure requests when not performing. This rapid-rotation system also increases the variety of music played as each DJ favors a specific genre.
The FM also manipulate the lights and videos at Rewired. They present psychedelic images, special messages, and track details on two large projector screens. [An example of Rewired VJing can be seen in the second video provided below.] In addition, they add incense and fog to their mixes. The goal is to provide a multi-media and multi-sense experience for the guests.
The FM have developed a classification system for the music played at Rewired.
Noise (1910s): The core of Industrial music is the beauty of noise.
Rock (1970s): The merger of Industrial music and Rock music.
EBM (1980s): The merger of Industrial music and Dance music.
Futurepop (1990s): The merger of Industrial and Synthpop music.
Electro (2000s): The merger of Industrial and Electronic music.
The team includes DJs who are experts in each of these areas. This system respects the past, present, and future of Industrial music. The crowd, however, controls the music at Rewired, and we receive requests for all of these styles every week. Thus the sets reflect both the cultures and the guests. Yet The FM are not elitists or purists, and they will occasionally color outside the lines. The primary goals are to create an atmosphere of tolerance, build a family, and most importantly have fun :-)
The Chaos Unit [The CU] offers promotional items (t-shirts, flyers, magnets) and free gifts (compact discs, comic books, gift certificates) across the night at Rewired. The CU have also established an interesting tradition of handing out free candy shaped like brains and organs. And they create the unique ambience at the Uptown, filling Rewired with candles, gargoyles, and skulls. Plus, one member of The CU jumps into the DJ rotation each week as a special guest.
The CU also records the live DJ sets at Rewired Wednesdays. These archives (playlists and recordings) are available on request, and the sets are re-played on our radio shows broadcast live from The Vinyl Haven (aka, The Castle).
The Guests
Everyone is welcome at Rewired Wednesdays. We typically focus on the rivet, goth, and rave cultures. The crowd, however, is actually quite diverse. We try our best to minimize the "drama" and to make everyone feel comfortable regardless of their "demographics". We don't ban people, and we don't have a dress code. It's all about using music to bring people together, so please just come as you are!
We need people to help us improve our club night. Your participation is important, and many opportunities are available. You can learn to DJ, join our street team, and present your ideas. We are also looking for new music. If your band or project has tracks available, send them to us and we'll play them!

With an assembly that includes members of Ministry (Warner Bros.) and Thrill Kill Kult (Rykodisc), it's obvious project .44 has a firm grasp on the aggro/industrial/tek metal scene...
Thanks for the add. Every add helps and is appreciated. If you like Industrial, then go hang out on the page, read some blogs, buy some stuff, or drop some comments and show support. If you don't like the music, then let's just pretend you do. Thanks again. - Dragon.

Hope all went well for "Adventures in Wonderland". Sorry I missed it.... Do you know of anyone selling a new, healthy immune system? I am tired of getting sick! See you next week!
I feel terrible that I missed Wednesday again.... but after going for two years without getting sick, my luck ran out... NOTHING, except maybe a meteor, is going to stop me from coming up next week! I need to DANCE!
The following songs were NOT played last week at Uptown. They could easily be on our All Time Hits List. Not playing these tracks shows our commitment to keeping the night fresh. Please keep giving us requests so that Rewired remains not only about the past but also about the future :-)
