Two words that can very easily describe me: STUBBORNLY PASSIONATE! :o) That is because I have a passion for life & to have those experiences of being ALIVE.
Make sure to check out my vids to the left. I'm quite proud of them! LOL! What can I say? I love anything physical and outdoors. I like to challenge myself so that I can overcome and grow. I've been a Personal Trainer and Medical Exercise Specialist since 1998. In 2007 I became a Nutrition & Lifestyle Coach. So yes I'm a bit of a health freak, but that doesn't mean that I do like my treats from time to time, that's for sure. LOL! Gotta love flan! So damned good! :-) I definitely live to eat (Oh yeah!). This warrior likes to be fed like a king. ;-) Especially after a hard work out.
I made my way into fitness via the martial arts. I was a student of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do studying to be an instructor while also in school studying Philosophy and Comparative Religion originally wanting to be a professor---I saw the light and woke up so became a fitness pro instead. I don't regret that decision! I'll jump on almost any opportunity to head into the mountains for some hiking, horseback riding, yoga or rock climbing. I love intense functional strength training to prepare me for the outdoor activities I take on, as well as some martial arts training that's very practically, or street fighting, oriented. I also love functional training because of how it prepares me well for.....(use your imagination ;-)
I'm big on music and dance. Love gettin' my groove on! I was president of the Salsa Mambo Club of City College for a year. Can't beat dancing to Merengue though, b/c of how simply it is and I don't have to worry about whether my dance partner learned how to dance on 2 or one of the other many Salsa variations! LOL! I also love dancing soulful house. That's a more regular thing for me.

***These are fairly short pieces of Paul Chek lectures that are pretty powerful. He's one of my greatest teachers in the fitness and nutrition industries. I model much of my Personal Training and Nutrition work after his. He is rigorously scientific yet very holistic while being powerfully humanistic. My great purpose is to reverse the health crisis and he has been instrumental in my learning how to do that. ***I highly recommend his book: "HOW TO EAT, MOVE AND BE HEALTHY."

The following videos are of Paul Vunak. I flew to California to train with him in Jeet Kune Do Concepts and he is an amazing street fighter, as well as a great guy. Very chilled out and great to talk to---you would never think that he is a lethal weapon who trained Navy Seals for 3 years, as well as Special Forces, CIA, DEA, FBI and local law enforcement around the country. He really knows his stuff when it comes to practical self-defense and he was the student Dan Inosanto, who was Bruce Lee's top student.
