The Rezza Brothers (pronounced Retsa) are comprised of Adrian and Lucas Rezza. The brothers are second generation Italian-Canadians, born in Toronto. Exposed to an eclectic wealth of musical styles from infancy, they cite their parents as their greatest musical inspiration. Although Mr. and Mrs. Rezza exposed the boys to many genres of music, what captivated the bothers most were the sounds of soul and funk. James Brown, Lou Rawls, Chaka Kahn, Smokey Robinson, Zucchero, the Chi-lites and many more provided an unofficial musical education. The guys were fortunate enough to see and study many of these groups in Concert. From the dynamics and high energy of a James Brown show to the coolness vibes of the stylistics. Theses brothers in compass all that into their repertoire.
As that education continued, Lucas proved a natural on the keys, and has been playing for over 20 years. Adrian focused on his vocals, and been singing and rapping since the age of 8. As teenagers, the brothers formed a band with their cousin and some childhood friends, playing local clubs and TV shows. Driven by the music, the group hungered for any opportunity to practice and perform. They began recording demos and exploring every avenue of growth - always with the unwavering support of their parents.
The Rezza Brothers have been playing professionally for over 15 years and have opened up for the likes of Joe, Foxy Brown, Ginuwine, Allen Sorenti, Paulo Meneguzzi, Sandro Giacobbe, and Midnight Star. They have also played to audiences from Montreal, NewYork and Altanta to Milano, Rome and Pisticci Italy. The brothers met up with a killer guitarist and close friend Jeff Gunn who brings the worldly guitar flavor to the Rezza Sound. Jeff is now an honorary brother of the group and is known to all as "Pistola". The Rezza Brothers have enjoyed some home grown success with the release of 2 videos which aired on MuchMusic along with many singles that hit number one on airwaves from 2001 to 2008. Not only are they recording artists but they write and produce many other artists as well. The Brothers bring a combined knowledge of Musical Engineering, production, songwriting and producing to a session. The most important thing they bring to everything and anything they do is the love and passion they have for Music. Those are the main ingredients to great Music!
The Rezza Brothers are putting destiny into their own hands. They're hard at work on production and collaborations with various known and hot indie artists like themselves. They have recently just finished putting together there first full length debut album entitled "Sound Revolution". There new video will be released very soon from the hot single "Gatta Nera". Musically, they are in their prime, and vow to bring musicianship, stagemanship, and a little bit of Euro soul to every endeavor. Euro Soul the Movement is coming!!
