Rick Fenczik is a long time musician who's played in a multitude of bands. Mainly a guitarist for the past 25 years, he's played everything from rock, alternative, metal, blues, jazz, progressive, and fusion in bands from Chicago to Denver.
His last band "Live Jive" based out of Colorado Springs, CO played a double ticket with "The Freddy Jones" band who were currently touring to promote their latest CD release at the time. Talks were in the way concerning a label deal and CD release, but unfortunatley the band broke up before that was to happen.
Having been a multi-faceted musician, playing guitar, bass, and drums over the years, he decided to get back into the music scene after a long hiatus. Having seen to many mediocre bass players in past bands, he decided to make the bass his primary instrument and is currently working on material for a new album.
These first three tracks, "Funkin Around", "In The Groove" and the newest, "Alive Jive" were recorded raw with no mixing or multi-tracks. Slowly building components for his own studio, more polished tracks are soon to follow.
His latest project is doing session work for recording artist Gabriel Aulaga from Spain, adding bass lines to his unfinished tracks. He's also in the process of doing recording session work with other artists from around the world.
He lives just outside of Denver Colorado, where he hopes to form his own band playing his original music in the very near future. Any bands interested in contacting Rick for auditions should send an email through his myspace music profile.
