“A call to arms from the perilous waters of the Island. Kinfolk cower in their homes as wild squalls rage fury on us. A far cry from the glassy seas and towering swells from which we profited only a few days ago. Respite cruelly prized from our grasp, our hopes of reprieve in calmer seas lie tattered, at least for now. Scathed but not scarred, we persist through relentless gales and cloudbursts on the fringes of the ocean, passing the church in the bay where many a reveler and mourner has been left stranded at high tide. Through fortune and fortitude we reach the shore and are greeted by warm fires, zestful ales and hearty tales shared with our good friend, (sadly soon to depart us). For the storm has abated and the bow has settled. We wipe our blinkered eyes, ravaged and weary; the majestic scenes enveloped by the Island in a blind rage, ever imprinted in our minds”...
The Inland Sea is inspired by the isle of Anglesey, a place that has always been close to The Mekkits’ hearts... It was recorded and produced at "Studio Los Mekkitos"... in Manchester, and will be followed next year with the ecclectic debut album!

Lucius Lowe brings one of his earliest productions "Sweet music" bang up-to-date on the latest release from Boogs Music. The package brings three different flavours to your record box - The classic, smooth vocal house sound of the "High on the groove mix," Hard-hitting club sounds from the "Thru the roof mix" and the deep and soulful groove of the original 2003 mix. Featuring haunting vocals from newcomer Lois Taylor, the package gives an accurate measure of how Lucius' production skills have been honed between composition of the original 2003 mix and more recent remixes. The "Thru the roof mix" also marks Lucius' first commercial release, included on the compilation CD "Dancefloor '06" from Manchester's D6 Records. Grouper (US) has her latest – Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill – of three albums on Type Records. She has also been involved in collaborative releases, contributing a track to Xiu Xiu’s Remixed & Covered and four tracks to a split release with Inca Ore. Her other contemporaries are Belong, Growing, Tim Hecker, Windy & Carl and Atlas Sound.
Jasper TX (Sweden), with a hefty back-catalogue of releases on labels such as Miasmah, and collaborations with buddy Machinefabriek, is an essential domestic appliance in the household of conceptual music. He is comparable to artists Fennesz, Sigur Ros, Múm and Tape.
Intricate and atmospheric songsmith, Danny Saul (UK) performs with different combinations of musicians, making each gig a unique event. His forthcoming release is "Harsh, Final", and he also performs with Greg Haines as Liondialer.
Fieldhead (UK) music delights in tape hiss, bleak landscapes and decaying analogue loops. He is also a member of The Declining Winter and Glissando. His debut album, "They Shook Hands for Hours" is released soon on Home Assembly.
