About リフティングゴンザレス

2004年中ごろ、小学校時代からの友人同士である椎名(Ba)と小濱(Vo&G)がバンド結成。楽器も持たずにリハーサルスタジオに遊びに行き記念撮影するなどの活動を一通りこなしたが、すぐに行き詰る。 2004年の年末ごろ、バイト先で椎名と宇都宮(G&Cho)が出会う。もともとコピーバンドなどでヴォーカルなどの経験があった宇都宮は椎名がバンドをやっている旨を聞き、すぐさま「おれを入れてくれ」と懇願。なお、このころの宇都宮は激しく人生に行き詰っていた。当初は有名ミュージシャンのコピーなどをして楽しく過ごす予定だったのだが、最初のスタジオインで宇都宮が自作曲--『悲しみの終わり』--を披露し始めたために事態は急展開。一転してオリジナル曲を中心としてライブへ向けての活動を余儀なくされた。ドラム不在のままの活動に限界を感じ、メンバー募集するもあえなく不発。迷った挙句宇都宮が中学校時代からの友人でバンド経験のある長谷川(Dr)を誘い、想定外の二つ返事でのOK。以降４人での活動となる。その後長谷川は就職し、活動その他を総合的に考えた結果脱退。一時ライブ活動が困難になるが、またしても宇都宮の中学校時代からの友人でバンド活動中だった川原崎--Dr--を誘い、なし崩し的に加入決定。ライブ活動を復活させた。
