Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Rhapsodic is a trio featuring drummer Chris Belin, guitarist Matt Calvetti, and poet/vocalist Sarah Claire. Rhapsodic creates songs with unique arrangements that include styles such as funk, jazz, hip-hop, and more - while also blending spoken word and vocals. Previously, Chris and Matt were in the bands ouve and its earlier incarnation Ouve Azzy Runk. While in those groups they played over 300 shows in the Western PA area and beyond, and released 3 CD's. Chris is also the founder/teacher of the Chris Belin's Traveling Drum School, and works as a freelance drummer. Matt performs as a solo guitarist on occasion, and has played guitar and drums with various projects over the years. Sarah has been performing poetry/spoken word in the Pittsburgh area for several years, and has published her first book of poetry entitled 'Silently Screaming'. She is also the creator/producer of a monthly spoken word/musical collaboration known as Beautiful Noise, and the singer-songwriter series Bare Necked.

Het, I'm digging the new tunes. Makes me feel like I should be racing through the desert on a motorcyle at night, running from the law, but to nowhere in particular. Maybe also vampires are somehow involved. Either way, I like it. The spoken word stuff really seems to be working out. We'll have to come see you guys live sometime. Until then.
So many friends and what does it really mean? I am glad that you are my friends... warm, electronic, slightly fuzzy friends. Remember when we actually looked at each other in person and passed a pipe... now we post comments... Kind html man....
