**UPDATE ON CURRENT STATUS OF THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS**
The band are currently on hiatus and they have all been working on their own individual projects. However, Chad has stated recently they will recovene in October 2009 (and personally told one of our members). Also John was quoted in a recent interview denying the rumours that he quit the band, saying it's all nonsense :D!!

So the 'band' has been on hiatus, but not the members that make up that band!!
They sure have been busy!!

**ANTHONY**
~HBO T.V. Series~
Anthony has been developing a t.v. series for HBO tentatively titled "Scar Tissue". Blackie told me on 26th February 2009 that he really couldn't say too much as to where they were up to, but was able to tell me that they're currently working on the script for the pilot.

**FLEA**
~Study, Teaching & Solo Album~
Flea is furthering his education and has also been teaching at Silverlake Conservatory of Music. His first solo album is due out sometime next year and is called "Helen Burns".

**JOHN**
~Solo & Collaborations~
'The Empyrean' is John's latest solo album and was released between 17-27th January 2009. "It is a concept record that tells a single story both musically and lyrically"-JF. John has appeared in a number of guitar magazines over the past months, there are a 'heap' of reviews and interviews around. All in all, his new album seems to have been received very well!!
John performed on 'Way Down' along with RZA & Barbie Hatch on N.A.S.A.'s latest release 'The Spirit of Apollo'. John is also set to headline as 'Speed Dealer Moms' (collaboration with Venetian Snares)at the upcoming Bang Face Weekender in the UK this April [we have a few members attending, so look out for reviews!!]

**CHAD**
~Bombastic Meatbats & Chickenfoot~
Chad, along with guitar star Jeff Kollman, multi-faceted keyboardist Ed Roth, and Motor City bass ace Kevin Chown, are known, collectively, as Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats. Look for their debut CD in early spring and stay tuned for upcoming tour dates at www.bombasticmeatbats.com.
Being often referred to as the new "supergroup", Chickenfoot is made up by former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, ex-Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani and RHCP drummer Chad Smith. The band recently finished recording its debut album with Andy Johns and Mike Fraser, which is due for release later in the year.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' UNIVERSE
It started with a very small but active Yahoo Group somewhere in 2002, then the group grew and got bigger and bigger with even more energetic support from the fans!

Unfortunatly, the group had to be closed in 2006 because of many inner and also outside problems. But the whole idea and characteristic atmosphere has been always with the founder of the group, Natalie, and that's why RHCP' Universe was re-activated on 5th July 2007 and the
Myspace profile was set up in December 2007.

On 22nd February 2009, RHCP Universe was taken over by
a new owner & new moderator, Dolfina. Fresh look, fresh ideas and much more are coming!! :D

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' UNIVERSE is about:
* pure music
* amazing people and their views
* making our worlds even broader
* deep chats which make us think for a moment
