Rhino's is a live venue in Bloomington, Indiana welcoming all ages and different genres of music, from punk to hip hop to metal to indie, and far beyond! Since 1992, Rhino's has been one of the best all-ages clubs in the Midwest and has hosted some of the hottest acts from around the country. .. In addition to regional and national acts, Rhino's has always been the place for local musicians and high school bands to play to an all-ages crowd. We do shows every weekend. .. No ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco, or Other Drugs)..2. No Fighting..3. No Pornography/Nudity (pornographic gestures, speech, images AND keep your clothes on)..4. No "Violent Dancing"/physically risky behavior (windmills, kicking, punching, stage diving, crowd surfing, etc.)..5. Mosh at Own Risk (respectfully and safely)..6. No Hate Speech..7. Respect each other and Rhino's space and staff..8. No one under 13 unless accompanied by adult..9. No Riverdancing..10. No making your own list of rules..11. Be yourself..12. Yes, Rhino's All Ages Club is an all-ages club. .. ..When you say all-ages, you mean?.... We mean ALL ages. Anyone can hang out here, ..BUT if you are under 13, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian... .. ..Can I smoke/drink/fight/do drugs/get it on at Rhino's?.... NOPE! We are a pretty chill place, but we do not mess around when it comes to these things. You'll be thrown out and probably banned forever. .. ..What kind of bands play at Rhino's?.... All kinds. Punk, hip hop, metal, indie, rockabilly, reggae, hard rock, folk, alt-country, ska-core, dark cabaret. Seriously. .. ..What bands have played at Rhino's?.... Thousands of bands have played at Rhino's over the years. Check out our ..Rhino's Hall Of Fame.. for a small sampling of bands you may have heard of. .. ..Can I buy tickets for a show?.... We usually just take money the day of the show, but sometimes we do pre-sale tickets for more popular bands. To find out which shows have tickets available, and for ticketing info, check out our ..website... .. ..I took a picture of a band playing at Rhino's, can you put it on your MySpace page?.... Absolutely. ..E-mail.. it along with your name so we can give you credit. The photo must be AT RHINO'S and TAKEN BY YOU. .. ..Was Rhino's really on MTV?.... Yes. .. ..Do you guys actually like music or is this just a job for you?.... Well, most of the people you see "working" at Rhino's are actually volunteers. Everyone that works or volunteers at Rhino's All Ages Club eats, sleeps, and breathes music. Some are in rockin' bands that occasionally play here. So, no, we don't like music... we LOVE music. .. ..Can you book (insert name of favorite band)?.... We can sure try. Let us know if you want a band to come to Bloomington and we'll get in contact with their "people" and see what we can do. We're here for you, after all. .. ..How long has Rhino's been around?.... Since 1992. .. ..Does Rhino's associate with any church?.... No. We are not a Christian club, and we've never been affiliated with any church. Your Christian band can play here, though. So can your Klezmer band. And your Scientologist band. It's weird that you're in all 3 of those bands. .. ..Rhino's is huge! You people must be rich, right?.... Actually, quite the opposite is true! Rhino's Youth Media Center is a 501C3 Non-Profit division of the Harmony Education Center... Our after school programs are a partnership with The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department. We also receive funding from The Governor's Commission for a Drug Free Indiana, The Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation agency, the Payback Foundation, and many other local, state and federal funding sources. We also continually fund-raise in the community to pay the bills. .. ..Can I work at Rhino's?.... You can absolutely volunteer. If you'd like to help out at a show, come to our weekly meeting on Fridays at 5 and check it out.
