About Rhizomes

In October 2004 an idea to start a Reggae band in Guildford, Surrey, was first put together and by the following january sessions at a local practice studio had started.

The original band was made up from various musicians from all parts of England. However for the first few years the group changed around until a solid core formed into what is today a successful dub and roots reggae seven piece.

Instruments heard within the Rhizome line up include, Drums, Bass, Percussion, Guitar, Trumpet, Electric Piano, Organ, Melodica and at times three vocalists.

The band share a love of Reggae music and wish to follow in the way to promote a better world for all its people. We wish to continue to improve and share our music with as many people as we can to promote a truthful peaceful world.
