Rhoda Morgan grew up in London, United Kingdom listening to everything from reggae to classical music. From a young age she developed a huge passion for music. She attended the renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School ( A large number of British celebrities attended including The Spice Girls) for three years where she received vocal training and began to write songs and produce tracks as young as twelve years old. After appearing in Simon Cowell's Pop Idol she had the chance to audition for music executives from Universal Island Records, and then Sony/Columbia but she wanted more than what the U.K. music scene could offer
"The Journey"
Aged 18, she packed her bags and relocated to New York City to live out her dreams. She began writing and producing for other artists and emerged as a well respected songwriter and producer. Performing in The 9/11 memorial concert, and venues across the City, and
"From Brixton to Brooklyn"
In January 2006 she began working on her first album. After many, many setbacks her hard work finally paid off and on November 3rd 2006 Rhoda released her debut album From Brixton to Brooklyn available to download on itunes, Best Buy, Sony Connect, Rhapsody, Yahoo music and CD Baby available for sale in the following stores Tower Records, Virgin Records and HMV across North America On her debut album she collaborated with one of Chicago's hottest new r&b producers Daniel'Burger Beatz' Szura on the tracks 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda' and 'Me against the World.' The remaining nine tracks she produced herself and feature some of New York's best rappers; Seldom Seen, Jersey and Stelo and also reggae artist Loose. The album was recorded at Explode studio in Bedstuy, Brooklyn and 20% of the proceeds go directly to benefit the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (www/cafod.org.uk)
The album has received a lot of media attention and has been described as 'Timbaland inspired R&B/Hip-hop'
"Music is therapy"
What separates her from the crowded pack of divas is her songwriting and producing abilities.
"Music is therapy for me I have kept a music diary since I was ten years old. I basically fill it with dreams, feelings, emotions and experiences and when I go to make a track I formulate the lyrics from this."

Rhoda is beginning her East Coast high school tour in February 2007 and look out for her performing at venues all over NYC to promote her album.
