“It'z 'bout Time” by Rhoda Nkojo is an excellent collection of R&B/pop songs. The tight band and excellent recording quality provide an effective backdrop for Rhoda's impressive vocal performances. Many tracks on this CD have a catchy upbeat groove that will have your body moving. "The Sweetest Taboo" is a memorable upbeat R&B tune with a catchy chorus and tight harmonies. Rhoda shows a more emotional side on "Brother," where her tender vocal performance and rich harmonies are nicely set above a beautiful acoustic guitar performance. The vocal talents of this lawyer shine through on this CD. If you're a fan of R&B or pop, we recommend that you give this a listen.

A native of Uganda, Rhoda was raised in the Washington, D.C. area,
where East and West African rhythms, pop, jazz, Broadway, R&B, and
hip hop music imbued her childhood, creating a unique hybrid in her
musical sensibilities. As a member of various choral groups, from
school and church choirs to a female a capella group while attending
the University of Virginia, Rhoda's musical instruction includes five-part
harmony and piano. Her talent emerges from deeply within, guided by a
natural force of love and passion for all things creative. Over the recent
years, she has performed with bands, ranging in genre from rock, pop,
and R&B, and studied acting at the HB Studio in New York. Rhoda’s
theater work includes Cabaret (Understudy, Sally Bowles) and Once on
This Island (Ti Moune) with the New York based Harmony Theater
Company. Most recently, she has shared the the stage with Gavin DeGraw and the late, great Blues Legend Moe Holmes. Currently,
Rhoda can be seen performing her original music as well as performing with Funk Band Loose Booty in New York City. Her self-titled album, produced by Kareem "Lil Maceo" Walkes, is available on I-Tunes, CD Baby and Digstation. Rhoda's second album is a rich collection of Urban/Pop, soulful grooves with some jazz and blues highlights, nicely capped off with powerful vocals and deeply emotive lyrical content.
