Rhodes Street Rude Boys is a rude boy reggae band straight outta Akron, Ohio. How we came together is another story. Kevin, known as Ras Barnabas, started playing with a band called Spy Mission Pineapple from 1990 - 1992. As the band was breaking up, he joined forces with Walter to create their band ONE. After two albums and many tours, both Walter and Ras Barn started Mighty Levites with Stefano (Roots), now of Umojah Nation. With many fans and opening for the great reggae bands of our time, BURNING SPEAR, TOOTS AND THE MAYTALS, CULTURE, and many more, Walter left the area to get married out in California where he joined Jonah and the Whalewatchers. But with JAH on their side, Walter and his new wife moved back into the area. Now with Keith (Bass), and Dre from Portland, Oregon on drums, Rhodes Street Rude Boys have come together to create music for JAH and HIS people.
