The house/R&B duo Rhody & Kaydee is a collaboration between Swedish producer Martin Eriksson and Nigerian songwriter/vocalist Kevin David Ichekor. They met in 2003 when Kevin came to Sweden to see his father and also look for producers to hook up with. Despite their widely different background they immediately connected musically and started to create magic in the studio. Their first release "Show Me" on british label Loven Records saw the daylight in 2006. As the label was shut down short after that the single never really got the attention it deserved. The second release "Believe Me" signed by Mr Groove and his label Pure Funk landed in May 2007.
Rhody has been into electronic and dance music for almost 20 year. He has collaborated and remixed artists like Laila Adele, Liondub, Sueno Soul, Shabu Music, Mr Groove, Dr Beat and others. He also produce & engineer music for different pop acts. In 2001 he won Dance Direct, the biggest competition for dancemusic in Sweden.
Kaydee has been swimming in the wine of music since the age 9. At thirteen he was already in the clubs performing live. At sixteen he won the BBC voice of Africa, and several other competitions.
Kaydee´s unique souldrenched voice and meaningful lyrics, combined with Rhody's mellow and hi-precision yet playful productions makes this duo a welcoming new flava of the Swedish house wonder.
