Nice as pie records would like to present to you Rhondda, a band of experienced songwriters and performers. A collaboration of musical talents that invokes memories of classic artists that have influenced Rhondda but who have also influenced the soundtrack of our lives over the last four decades.
Formed in 2007 the band, Phil-Vocals & Guitar, Kev Tudge Vocals & Guitar and Andrew Biggs Bass Guitar, started the creative process that lead to the debut album "Bird Released"- released Jan 2009. Since which Rhondda have been augmented by the addition of Ian Rae on Lead Guitar and James E Williams on Drums.
2009 has seen the band performing on stages small and large to an ever growing fanbase and impressing established industry stars. Live highlights of 2009 including opening for 80's legends The Human League, T'Pau, Belinda Carlisle, Bananarama & Heaven 17 at a stadium festival in uly. The summer saw the band appeared at a number of festivals all to great acclaim.
The summer also saw the recording of Rhondda's new EP "Love Is A God" now available to download from i Tunes. The digital release is a taster for the second album which is currently being recorded and is due to be released in Jan 2010.
The band is excited and full of energy for the next step and Nice As Pie is over the moon with the early stages of Rhondda's career. This is just the beginning.

Myspace has enabled The Boiler Club: Unsigned Heroes, to listen to so much great music and link up with some great people who share our love and thoughts about live music and Djays who don’t play safe. Initially we were inspired by the do it yourself punk ethos and the late great John Peel and Joe Strummer.
We run a tiny tiny club just once a month and we have booked some so many fantastic bands through the Myspace medium.
So who are we? Well, we are two ole geezers (really) who are still out there spinning tiptop tunes and hosting a once a month night encouraging and supporting unsigned bands at Northampton’s legendary Labour Club.

Dudes! Loved the set at Party on the Pitch! So much that I downloaded your album from Amazon! (after a glitch and a second go - computer trouble) Sounds great, kind of "secret love child of Aztec Camera/Oasis with a little Beattles/Crowded House", but also a really original vib in there too.
