Originally founded in 1987 as "Rock Box Productions", RBP evolved over the years (starting with the "R-H-O-Q" spelling of "rock" in 1994) and in 2000 was re-christened as "Rhoq Solid Entertainment". In 2004, RSE joined forces with DJ Legend to resurrect the legendary Philly Freestyle label Total Kaos Records.
I have decided to branch out on my own to tackle a very personal project and also to establish Rhoq Solid Entertainment as it's own separate entity.
One of the biggest reasons why I am doing my own thing, is for the last 5 or 5 years, I have been miserable. Most Freestyle artists aren't committed. Old School "Legends" want you to stroke their egos. New School artists think they're already superstars and have the same arrogant attitudes as the so-called "legends". It's all bullshit. I got tired of the cancellations. I got tired of the no shows. I got tired of the egos. I just got tired of dealing with all of the Freestyle drama. All of that changed back in January of 2007 when I hooked up with someone who is just as passionate about Freestyle as I am. We work very well together and this is the easily the best experience I have had in the "business", period.
As you will hear - I am still fully committed to Freestyle and when all is said and done, the hardcore fans will be more than pleased. The featured artist for this project is Pica. This is his long overdue debut album and we are aiming for a mid-2010 release. The album is tentatively titled To Hell & Back: The Sountrack To My Life and will be released by Rhoq Solid Entertainment.
Back in 2004, my first production turned out to be the final song from Allentown, PA's True Passion: "Forgive Me". I am happy to announce that an old friend has returned home. Joey Tee of Str84ward Entertainment (formerly of True Passion) has joined the RSE family and begun work on solo material. Look for "Trapped" and "Here Without You" coming soon as well as some collaborations with Pica. Look for Joey Tee's solo album The Resurrection in 2010.
Tim Robertson (a/k/a "Tek-Style") is some new blood coming in to help keep things sound fresh. He's new to producing, but he has an excellent ear and heavy influence based in the Old School. Pica is a highly gifted musician (and lyricist). Joey Tee is also a very gifted lyricist and combined with Pica's gift for vocal harmonies, together they have the potential to be an unstoppable monster.
Together, the four of us make up the new and improved Rhoq Solid Entertainment.

On December 5, 2009 the limited edition Joey Tee & Pica: The "Split" EP was released.
Freestyle "legend", Peter Fontaine, has returned to the RSE family and we will begin working on new material in January 2010.
In early 2009, Rhoq Solid Entertainment released the debut single from Wilson, titled "I Was Lost". Look for Wilson's return to RSE with "Another Lie" in early 2010
