The Fusion MPowerment Network of Huntington, WV is proud to kick off an exciting program designed to provide a fun and educational outlet for everyone interested in discussing today's hot topics in a fun, enlightening, and entertaining setting. The program is called SHOUT, which stands for Stopping Hatred through Outrageous and Uplifting Talk. It will be a combination of movie nights, game nights, and other activities all designed to focus on various topics of interest to young GLBTQ individuals...and even str8 peeps too!

We will be having our kick off on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 7:00 with a showing of the cult classic HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH with a discussion about the reasons we perceive we must change ourselves to feel as if we fit in with our community and with society as a whole and while this is not true. We will also explore ways to be comfortable with ourselves as we are and finding the "MPowerment" to be a part of our community as we are without having to change for anyone.

This is a FREE event sponsored by the Fusion MPowerment Network of Huntington, WV, which is an HIV/AIDS Prevention Program for the GLBTQ Community & Beyond in the Greater Huntington Area. The center will open at 7:00 pm for refreshments and a chance for everyone to get to know each other a bit, the movie will show at 8:00 pm, and discussion group will follow. We invite everyone to stop by, even if you cannot stay for the entire evening.
