Rhyn originally formed way back in the summer of 2003, after the members at the time, Chris, Dan, Guy and Loren, had finished their GCSEs and were getting bored. After not really doing very much for some time, the band started to focus and actually try to write some decent songs and get some gigs. This led to a few changes of drummer and the band's first gig in November 2004 with Ollie drumming. Permanent drummer Pete was then recruited in early 2005 and the band played a number of gigs over the summer of 2005. The debut album 'Home Recording Made Easy' was self-released in December 2005. Rhyn have been taking a break from gigging now that all of the members have started university, but they are still writing and recording.
The Album
The debut album 'Home Recording Made Easy' was released in December 2005 and copies are available! It features 16 tracks, new and old. See the blog entry above for how to get hold of a copy.

We are very proud to announce, that Monocular s "Water Shape EP" is available at your favorite Online-Store now.
Containing the single "Water Shape" from the forthcoming album "Somewhere On The Line" (April 03, 2009 VierSieben Records/Alive) and three non-album tracks ("Consequence", "To Admire The Life", "Ravenclaw"), it is definitely a must have for all fans of filigree and athmospheric electrosounds.
Where bands like Lamb or Frou Frou left a gap in the late 90s and early 21st century, Monocular redefined the sound and set new standards in developing their complex music by connecting charismatic vocals with entrancing soundscapes.
