About me: The bones (if you're not already familiar with them) are a musical percussion instrument. Two bones or sticks are held between the fingers and clacked and rattled in a variety of intricate rhythms.
The Rhythm Bones Society was formed in 1999, at the third Bones Fest, in Brightwood, VA. The Society holds a festival every year, maintains a website at http://www.rhythmbones.com and publishes a quarterly newsletter, the Rhythm Bones Player.

Bones Fest X was the best bones fest ever, in Marthas opinion. I agree. However, neither Martha or I could attend this years bones fest XI. We here Black Bart put on a great event. Looking forward to next years festival and I am sure it will top the rest. The Boners keep getting better and better every year. Practice makes perfect, and I have been blown away by the talent that has shown up over the years. Thank you for all the effort in preserving this great instrument. The ancient art, the fun, the stories from folks who learned to play from there dear old dad or from there next door neighbor years back. Thanks to all the great bones players for making this a fun festival and even better pastime. I can't think of anything better to do when your in the mood to GROOVE.
