The Rhythm Drivers are Brad Wilson, vocals and harp, Ron Corral Jr. playing guitar and vocals, Chris Marshall, bass, and Danny Hukill on drums. We play blues and roots-rock americana. Some of the blues influences we employ include but are not limited to such greats as Lightnin' Hopkins, Son House, Slim Harpo, Howlin' Wolf, Magic Sam, Robert Johnson, Sonny Boy, Little Walter. Other contemporary artists who have made an impact on how we want to make our own blues include John Hammond (especially with Tom Waits), Rick Holmstrom, The Black Keys, The White Stripes and the Fabulous Thunderbirds to name a few.
We also play as a duo format and it is either the acoustic or the resonator guitar open tuned, some foot stomping, some looping of low end guitar grooves sometimes along with some banging and slapping beat on the guitar, some blues howlin' and wailin' from Mr. Wilson and his harp along with various percussion on his homemade cajon drum. It's a very full sound and a bit of a futuristic take on the one man band plus one. Sometime it take get plugging an old archtop guitar into an old tube amp which takes the duo and looping blues even to another place.
We not sure where that place is but we sure are digging the ride right now. Stick around, come to a show. We've got some good plans for the future primitive blues movement. The Rhythm Drivers are go!

How's it going Brad? Let me know if you want me to resend it, anytime. Have you Been playing a little? I wish I could've been there for the gig you guys had at the beginning of the month. I'm currently in Stockton and man it's HOT here! Santa Rosa is much nicer! I was watching the blues channel on Comcast Music a couple of days ago and saw your brother on there at least 2 or 3 times! Then I went to the Jimmy Rogers website and heard him playing there too! I guess you're aware of all of these things but after I met you, it makes a difference when I see or hear your brother playing! Anyway, I hope you're doing well. Keep in touch!
