これを機にDJ UCHIKAWA MASAHIKOは、レーベル・Loft Musicをスタートし、ソロ・プロジェクト“Loftsoul”を始動。ディープハウスをキーワードに実験性に富んだコラボレーションに挑み、“Loftsoul”名義にて初のオリジナルアルバムを発表。ジャンルの枠を超えた内容が話題となった。
DJとしても積極的に活動し、日本に止まらずヨーロッパでのプレイも数多い。日本のベテランDJの中でも特にディープなスタイルを貫く彼のプレイは、海外でも高い評価を受けて毎年のように渡欧している。一方クリヤ・マコトも、4年連続の欧州ツアーを行うほかオーストラリア、モロッコなどでも活躍。ソロアルバムの欧州リリースなど、国際的評価を高めている。また作編曲家としては平井堅、土岐麻子などの作品を手がけ、同時代性とポップ性を持ったメロディー・メーカーとしても多忙な日々を送っている。共に国際的注目を集める彼らが、この10月満を持して“Rhythm of Elements”初のフルアルバム「Evolution」をリリースする。長い月日をかけて創り上げた楽曲の集大成であるこのアルバムは、時を経ても聴き続けることのできるハイ・クオリティーな内容であり、「ハウスミュージック」のイメージを刷新する強いインパクトを与えるに違いない。世界中のクラブにおける12インチのヘヴィ・プレイが、それを予言していると言えるだろう。“Rhythm of Elements”のさらなる活躍に、ますます目が離せない。
DJ Uchikawa and a pianist Makoto Kuriya has met at a party @Yellow in Tokyo in 1998. They’ve got along right away, and started live performances at various clubs in Japan. Although the unit was a simple – a keybord on break beats -, they’ve received well reputation due to their freshness sound and the combination of the unique personalities.
The style of them who united jazz with the electro dance music is accepted in the underground in less than no time.
After the year of 2000, they’ve started a party called “Premier” mainly at a club in Aoyama @ Fai. and Also in 2000, they’ve released..Soul Boys / Last Night – Drunken Dub Mix(Circulater Records presence Routine Jazz-JPN)... November of 2004, they’ve released ..Tribe(10 inch vinyl/Black Vinyl Records-UK).. . Joe Claussel (ex Body & Soul, NYC) and Frank Roger (French) has played in the track and got great reputations in music magazines in the U.S. and U.K..In the 2006, they..ve release..First Impression ( inc DJ Hiro’s Dub mix/Loop Sounds-JPN ).. in March and they..ve release ..Garden Nights(inc Ron Trent Remix/Future Vision-EU).. in November.And, the release schedule is done from ..Trive2-North Wind(r2 Records-UK) in January, 2008.
Moreover, party "Premier" that holds it by @fai2001-2004 also restarts @ loop and it
receives a fevoreble reception. and,They are beginning the production of a full album now.
