At six year of age , he started playing the drums in the Pisek Music School orchestra and played with them for nine years. At age 15 , he was accepted at Prague Conservatorium where he studied drums and piano for 4 years. At age 18 , he started playing in Prague Theater Orchestra. He played with many locals bands , did theater and plays in Prague prior to moving to the Unites States. He also preformed on the OK Band's last LP. In Chicago he played with many bands (Vata , Euroband , Ravenhouse , C.I.A. , Kjaz(as special guest) and and many open mike's and jam sessions at Chicago blues clubs) In 2002 he formed Rhythm on 22nd with Doris Spain.Ciba not only plays drums , piano , guitar and bass , he is a talented songwriter , singer and actor. With the exception of one song , he wrote all of the music and some of the lyrics for the first CD. In addition to the CD , Ciba's other resent projects include drumming with the Ravenhause as a special guest and taking on the lead role in the musical" The Pied Piper" .

Even though Ciba & R on 22 dropped to #20, they squeaked by and made it to the quarter finals and the last time I looked were at #9. EVERY VOTE counts. They need to be in the top 10 to make it to the semifinals.

‘Intimately Yours’, is a 50 minute, 20 track kaleidoscope of feelings and thoughts expressed as words and music. It is as much about Chuck Berglund’s music as it is about my poems. Chuck’s soundscapes can easily stand on their own as do my poems, but together, they have a synergy that elevates the listener to another plane of existence.
I named the cd ‘Intimately Yours’ based on a comment I received on AcidPlanet, re: that I speak about intimate things. The cd should be available for purchase on CD Baby within a few weeks. In the meantime, individual tracks are available for purchase on my My Space page.

You kind of stunned everyone at Harlem Avenue Lounge on Thursday (after the so-so jam before you guys, they weren't ready for the "euro-urban funk" style of blues you guys threw at them) and when you got off the mike on Nasty Frame of Mind, you had everyone's attention. They were grooving with 'The Far Away Blues' and singing along with 'The Way It Is'. Great job guys!!!!
