    .. .... The Rhyhtm Rangers play a unique high energy blend of Hot New and Classic Country, Classic Rock, and Blues with four part vocals and a driving beat. Guitarist/Harmonica player/vocalist/Michael J Smith and guitarist/vocalist Craig Newton have been playing together in the Rhythm Rangers since 1990. "Alaska Boogie", a tune off their debut album, "Aces and Eights" broke into regular rotation on top 40 radio. The tune was written while on tour in Alaska, after a massive barroom brawl. He also sings lead vocals as Johnny Cash in the Country's premier Johnny Cash Tribute Band, The Mighty Cash Cats. (..www.myspace.com/themightycashcats.. or ..www.myspace.com/themightycashcats..) Some of his credits include working with Canned Heat, Kim Wilson of The Fabulous T-Birds,and Albert Collins. Talented Vocalist/Guitarist/Keyboard Player Leticia belts out the Hot New Female Country Sounds of artists such as Wyonna Judd, Gretchen Wilson, and Shania Twain as well as the Classic Sounds of Linda Ronstadt and Emmy Lou Harris to the Rock and Blues of Fleetwood Mac and Tracy Chapman. She also sings Johnny Cash and June Carter duets with Michael J when The Rhythm Rangers pay Tribute to The Man in Black. A music major at Penn State University, Leticia fronted several popular Los Angeles Bands before joining The Rhythm Rangers Guitarist/Vocalist Craig Newton moves effortlessly between playing Hot Rock, Blues and Country licks on his vintage Telecaster. He sings lead vocals on Blues tunes by artists like Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Classic Rock of the Beatles, to the New Country of Alan Jackson Bassist/Vocalist Kenny Lee Lewis is one of Southern California's finest bassists. He has a tremendous vocal range and sings tunes like "Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison. Versatile drummer Steve Ebner has shared the stage with superstars like Hal Ketchum and rising young recording artist Gis. His driving backbeat and immpecable sense of time propels The Rhythm Rangers' signature danceable sound. The Rhythm Rangers have won the prestigious Reporter Best Band Poll as well as the KHAY 100.7 Radio best band poll. They have toured extensively around the West and Northwest. One of their hightlights was playing a Command Performance for Queen Elizabeth when she visited President Ronald Reagan at his Santa Barbara Estate.
