Since the late 90's Rhythm Technologies has been on a mission to bring acid tinged techno to the dancefloor under various differant guises.
Starting out in the now infamous "fusion" club in Dublin, he learned his trade playing alongside the likes of The Liberator Djs, D.A.V.E. the drummer and Lawrie Immersion, before relocating to the UK. While in the UK, Rhythm Technologies quickly gained a reputation for his solid djing performances at clubs such as Twisted (London), Trancentral (London) & Havok (Manchester) while also making regular appearances at parties organised by "Immersion soundsystem", "Manik", "Underground Sound" and many more.
After a return to his native Ireland in 2002, Rhythm Technologies set about tearing up the dancefloor with a residency at "Flux", co-promoting "Damage Control" and occasionally teaming up with Dublin techno crew "Teknowarfare" as well as helping to kick things off for "Kommunity" in Cork (supporting the likes of Mike Humphries, Aaron Liberator, Pounding Grooves & D.A.V.E. the drummer.
The next obvious step was getting into production and, after 3 years hard work learning about production techniques & building his studio, a remix for Alex Calver's "Glitch recordings" saw the light of day. This was quickly followed by releases on Chris Liberator's "Yolk records" (co -produced with Zoid from the FAT collective) & his first solo release on Welsh imprint "KickTheDrum records".
In late 2006 "Damaged Trax" was born and in early 2007 the first release was unleashed on the public, featuring Alex Calver, The Concrete Djz aswell as Rhythm Technologies himself. To promote this release, two label launch parties were organised - The first at the legendary "Nuclear Free Zone" in London & an Irish launch night at "Kommunity". "Damaged Trax 02" followed shortly after and the stage was set for some blistering live sets including the "Absurdalia" festival in Poland and "Jakn" in Scotland.
During this time Rhythm Technologies decided to go back to his roots and set up a purely acid label which bore its head in the form of a series of free downloads called "Damaged Acid". quickly gaining support from the various acid crews, DTX303 tracks releases have become highly anticipated -
"cool acid tracks here from Rhythm technolgies, At the moment DTX303-6 is my fave , a hard techno groove and a spiralling 303 in a kind of wah wah vein , crisp production and a really tough kick push this track along , peak time stuff!" (D.A.V.E. the drummer)
In April 2008 "Damaged Trax 03" was released to critical acclaim from various Djs and producers -
"Overall this E.P. has many cool twists and surprises to make it a must stay in you box" (Aaron Liberator)
"Very technoid and very original thinking in all of these tracks" (D.A.V.E. the drummer)

Firstly thanks to everyone who came down last month, twas a great wee gig and the place was jumping to old skool jungle til the wee early hours.
We’ve got our second credit crunching, barrack busting dance off on Saturday the 6th June. Tuneage on the night will come from Homespun and Rudimentary resident Chuck bringing some of his latin & broken beat flava to the Apache rig, and we’re glad to have Belfast turntablist & producer John King back again this month to bring some serious deck skills to the table. Finishing of the night will be Apache residents Jayuu and Jim Morton dropping some soulful dnb rollers til late in the night.
The paltry fee of a 5er will get you entrance and as per usual it’s a bring your own event. Things will be kicking of around 9.30pm at Blick Studios, 51 Malone Road (across the road from the Church)
